Evan Rhodes wasn’t able to recall how the affair started. Since graduating nursing school, she had been working full time at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. And when COVID hit the hospital hard like the rest of the world, Evan went from saving lives to fighting for her own after contracting the virus. Dr. Frank Langdon–the Pitt’s newest intern–saved her life. Things were different when she came out of the coma and eventually the world shifted back into a new form of normalcy. Everyone coped in their own ways. For Evan, it was the fundamental instinct of needing human touch. And he was always there. It was only a basic human need to seek security and solace from someone who understood them. At least, that’s how they rationalized it.
